"Scholarship Day" offers discussion and job opportunities for ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓÆµCollege of Nursing students

"Nursing: More than a job, it's a way of life" is the theme of the 2005 Spring Semester "Scholarship Day" set for Valdosta State University for Friday, April 15. The location will be ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓÆµ's University Center from 8:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m.

Sponsored through ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓÆµ's College of Nursing, Scholarship Day will include recruiters from South ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓÆµ and North Florida hospitals as well branches of the Armed Forces. The event is an opportunity for all Nursing students to meet with prospective employers, obtain scholarships, receive information on internship opportunities, and become informed of current nursing topics and research. It is also a great opportunity to meet faculty as well as other nursing students.

Keynote speakers will include Inez Nichols, RN, BSN, from the South ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Medical Center and Donna Thomas, RN, MSN, who works for the Veterans Administration in the South ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓÆµ and North Florida area.
