As a public service to young ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓÆµns, Valdosta State
University is offering a free preparation course for the Scholastic
Aptitude Test (SAT). The course is open to all high school students
in the state and will be broadcast via satellite to schools Sept.
22 through Oct. 29, airing on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Math preparation will be taught from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.,
followed by verbal preparation from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The
course will be downlinked on-site at ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓÆµ high schools, with
professors on hand at ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓÆµ to answer questions and provide live
feedback via fax, e-mail, telephone or keypad response.
Organizers note that the only cost to participate in the program is
the price of the textbook. It is available from the ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Bookstore
for approximately $30 (plus shipping and handling) and can be
ordered by calling 229-333-5666.
